Nikka Costa - San Francisco
Well, we made it in to see Nikka Costa last night and it was PACKED. We were running a wee bit late and probably missed the first 40 minutes of her show, but were rewarded with two encores on top of the 4 songs we saw upon arrival. This was the first time that I saw Nikka play live and let me tell you, she is quite the performer. What she lacks in height, she makes up for in voice. Her voice is simply amazing and if you saw a picture of her you would never guess in a million years that she was responsible for the beautiful sounds she produces. The crowd here in SF was loving Nikka. I don’t think I have heard a crowd respond as loud as they did to Nikka Costa before at the Independent, and I have seen many shows there. We were sorry that we missed her opening songs, but happy to be able to catch this amazing, high-energy singer in action.
Nikka will be playing Seattle, Portland and Sacramento in the next few days, so if you live in those cities…go see her.
