EMI Clocks Some Cash

According to Bloomberg.com, EMI, the world’s third largest record company saw sales increase approximately 4.5% in the first half of 2005. This was due in no small part to the sales of new albums by big name artists like Coldplay, the Rolling Stones and the Gorillaz. Overall, the music industry has expected that the first half of 2005 would not see staggering sales growth, but with acts like Coldplay and the Gorillaz on your team, it is tough not to beat sales forecasts.
